This is a competition-grade model with a bind mechanism (does not return even when pulled). If you're unfamiliar with bind mechanisms, we recommend searching for videos on yo-yo binds. This product is intended for those with some yo-yo technique. For complete beginners, we recommend the Step 2 yo-yos or Spin Gadget. The high-end "Katana" model, designed and manufactured by Spin Gear, is being redesigned for 2024! It features an A7075 (extra-super duralumin) body and a stainless steel weight ring. The rim size and diameter have not been changed, only made wider. While the appearance is nearly identical, swinging it reveals a dramatic transformation from the previous model's powerful spin to a yo-yo that relies on speed. The yo-yo string, response pad, and bearings are consumables. If the string breaks or the bearings fail, please purchase the replacement parts separately.
