Product Introduction

Nico Model "1/700 Japanese Navy Special Gunboat Choun Maru 1945" resin kit.

This 1,900-ton heavy-lift ship was mass-produced by Kawaminami Shipbuilding and completed in 1940 (Showa 15). In December 1941 (Showa 16), it was commissioned as a Navy special gunboat, escorting transport units between Japan and Truk Island from the beginning of the Pacific War. From 1944 (Showa 19), it engaged in surveillance missions. After the war, it operated as a demobilization ship and cargo ship until 1965.
