The edges around the diaphragm are made of extremely flexible silicone, ensuring smooth, low-distortion diaphragm amplitude. Furthermore, this silicone edge and diaphragm are thermocompression bonded without adhesive, contributing to improved assembly precision, significant weight reduction, and reduced distortion.
Equipped with a new mechanism, the MAKE Dial, you can tune the earphones by turning the MAKE Dial on the back, without disassembling the earphones or replacing the filters. Turning the MAKE Dial gradually compresses the sponge located behind the driver inside the housing, changing the density and resulting sound quality. Turning it clockwise shifts the sound toward the bass, while turning it counterclockwise shifts the sound toward the treble.
[Includes final TYPE E earpieces] Two types of silicone with different hardness are used for the sound conduit and the earbud that comes into contact with the ear. The sound conduit is made of harder silicone than the earbud, and by applying grooves to it, it combines strength with flexibility. The earbud is made of softer silicone, making for a comfortable fit and high sound insulation.
