● About Staub
The stork, which is also the symbol of Staub, is a bird that symbolizes Alsace, a region in northeastern France. Founded over a century ago in Alsace, a region with a long history of industry, Staub developed its first cocotte (Pico Cocotte) in 1974, based on feedback and various requests from the founder, Francis Staub, and famous chefs.
● Bringing Chefs' Ideals to Life
With a sharp design that looks good on a restaurant table, functionality that brings out the best in ingredients, and durability that can withstand the demands of the kitchen, Staub products have captivated chefs in the French culinary world since their launch. Originally for professional use, Staub cookware is now widely popular in French households.
● Preserving the natural flavor of ingredients: The self-basting system, with its picots (protrusions) on the underside of the lid that automatically circulate steam, and the thick cast iron construction ensure even heat distribution and heat retention, preserving flavor and nutrients like vitamins.
● Brass (or nickel) knob: The knob is designed to withstand high temperatures and can be used for oven cooking.
● Black matte enamel finish: The entire interior of the cocotte features Staub's unique textured finish. The fine irregularities increase the surface area, allowing for better oil distribution and reducing contact with food, thus preventing sticking.
● High heat conductivity and heat retention: Heat is distributed throughout the entire pot, and the enamel finish enhances heat retention, allowing for cooking with minimal heat. Furthermore, its excellent heat retention allows you to enjoy your food warm even when served directly on the table.
●Durable 3-layer enamel coating
Enamel, made from glass, is resistant to food acids and prevents odor transfer during prolonged use. Staub's enamel coating, applied in three thin layers, offers exceptional durability even for professional use.
●Compatible with all heat sources
The smooth bottom surface is compatible with all heat sources. Compatible with gas stovetops, ovens, and induction cooktops (100/200V) (※Not suitable for microwave use).
●Japanese design
The XO rice cocotte is ideal for cooking rice and stews. Its form, designed based on ideas from Japan, makes it perfectly suitable for serving directly on the tabletop, offering exceptional usability.
●*Not suitable for microwave use. Dishwasher safe
*Staub products are handmade, so there may be slight variations in color, small protrusions, or minor air bubbles, but this does not affect the quality.
