"Scarlet Devil Mansion Remilia II: Requiem of the Phantom" is a sequel to "Scarlet Devil Mansion Remilia: Symphony of the Scarlet," a side-scrolling action game featuring characters from the globally popular "Touhou Project." The protagonist of this game is Izayoi Sakuya, a maid at the Scarlet Devil Mansion. In search of the missing Remilia and the other inhabitants of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, and in search of the whereabouts of the spring that has never come, she ventures into the Scarlet Devil Castle, which was supposed to have disappeared...the Yougen Scarlet Devil Castle. She progresses through the stages, defeating the enemies that attack her, and confronts the familiar bosses from the Touhou Project waiting at the end of each stage. After dodging the beautiful bullet hell attacks, what will she find at the end of the stage where she arrives...? Izayoi Sakuya excels at close-range attacks using knives. In addition to "Flight," which allows her to move freely in the air for a certain period of time, she can fight while dodging enemy attacks with the new action "Backstep" in this game. Furthermore, special attacks such as "Soul Sculpture," "Flying Kick," and "Backstep Knife" have been added, allowing for even more stylish gameplay. In this game, you can equip up to three sub-weapons/partners before selecting a stage. Sub-weapons include Izayoi Sakuya's signature "knife throwing" and the "pocket watch" that stops time. Partners are Touhou characters that appear in the game, and they attack enemies with their respective skills. Time your sub-weapon and partner summoning carefully to gain an advantage in battle. In this game, Izayoi Sakuya heads to the "Yougen Koumajou" (Scarlet Devil Mansion) in search of Remilia and the other residents of the Scarlet Devil Mansion who have suddenly disappeared. Standing in Sakuya's way is the "Yakumo family." What are their motives, and what is the fate of the spring that has yet to come...?
