The car body is newly reproduced with slightly larger vertical dimensions than the 2000 series and features unit sash windows with rounded corners on the inside of the frame. It is also reproduced as the later model from car number 554 onwards, with the vertical rain gutters housed inside the car body. The car body is a reproduction of the later model's Morioka livery, with a white base and red stripes. The window seals are reproduced in black. This is a powered car equipped with a flywheel motor.
