I was tired of having mp3, mobile phones, Tablet, etc. in my house. scattered throughout the house and decided to buy a USB charger. In this case it has 4 ports. If you go on a trip you don't have to worry about taking chargers for everything. It is also not much bigger or heavier than a normal charger. Its weight and size is quite good. It charges pretty fast and so far I've had it running with multiple devices on charge and I can say it hasn't gotten hot at all. It doesn't load fast or slow and it's not the brand I asked for either but hey that's the least of it if it worked well
