The word Piercing comes from the English "to pierce". The navel piercing (also referred to as a belly button piercing) is a piercing made on the edge of the navel. It is usually the upper part of the edge of the umbilicus which serves as a support for the piercing, the position of the piercing nevertheless depends on the creativity of the piercer. The navel piercing is nowadays mostly worn by women. Lip piercings can be placed anywhere around the mouth, but the surface of the lip is usually not pierced on its own, except for horizontal lip piercings. It is a visible perforation in the face that pierces the skin at the level of the brow bone. The arch piercing is generally a barbell, a micro-banana, and/or a ring with a diameter of 1.2 mm placed vertically over the eyebrow.
