An absolutely essential device for protecting labels for those who wash their records by hand. The quality of the workmanship and materials is excellent. The handles are plastic, the gaskets are silicone, the threaded rod and screws are metal, quite strong. If you squeeze the pads hard enough, even with a strong jet of water, no water leaks onto the "heel" of the record. I recommend it!
