Product introduction
At the end of the 20th century, Sambasunda suddenly appeared from the Sunda region in western Java, Indonesia. While young, he was deeply familiar with local traditional music, and his sound, which actively incorporated arrangements that made them feel contemporary, quickly captivated world music fans around the world. Then, they celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2017, and released a work from the Furusu label “Gema Nada Pertiwi” for the first time in a long time. Based on the percussive ensemble, which is their true essence, they performed a variety of arrangements and sounds as before, such as pop numbers featuring bewitching female singers and a spectacular bamboo gamelan orchestra.
