＜60's GARAGE ROCKIN' OLDAYS ＞
Jimmy Mashiko Supervised All Day Records Presents “60's Garage Disc Guide” Linked Reissue Series Vol.20 2 Titles
A pioneer of French garages that appeared in France in the early 60s under the direct influence of the British Beat!
France in the early 1960s was the peak of the Yaye boom with female idols such as Sylvie Vartan and Françoise Hardy. Rock and roll, which was born in America and England, was covered in French by Johnny Hallyday, but there were few supporters of wild rock and roll. Meanwhile, Ronnie Bird appeared in 1964 under the direct influence of the British Beat. There is no doubt that it created an opportunity for many French teens to become enthusiastic about rough British rock by adding a unique French poem in an environment unique to France similar to Japan where they struggle alone with mushroom hair and are too wild among Yeiye idols, but they picked up songs such as The Rolling Stones, Pretty Things, and Who. Since there were no hits of original songs, they disappeared in the late 1960s, but since the 1980s, Bird has been evaluated as a pioneer of French garages. I want you to enjoy the charms of Ronnie Bird, from Buddy Holly covers to French soul. ~ Explanation rather than explanation: Jimmy Mashiko
