Product usage: Use daily. To increase UV protection, use 30 minutes before exposure to sunlight. Reapply as needed. Use daily, alone or before makeup. Apply liberally 15 minutes before exposure to sunlight. Reapply every two hours, or when product is removed from your lips after swimming, toweling off, sweating heavily, washing, or after eating or drinking. If you swim or sweat, use waterproof sunscreen. How to block UV rays. The longer you are exposed to the sun, the greater your risk of skin cancer and premature skin aging. To reduce this risk, regularly use sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher. Other ways to block UV rays are as follows: Reduce your exposure to sunlight, especially between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., and wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, and sunglasses.
