EGR Valve Blank Plate for Trafic Vivaro Megane Laguna Safrane Scenic Latitude M9R

This is for the M9R DCi (1995cc) Euro4 and Euro5 ( Vauxhall's are CDTi). This blanking plate is made from Laser cut 1.5mm 304 Stainless Steel, and has been rumbled to make it smooth and give it an abraded surface to get a better seal. It fits between the exhaust extension tube and the EGR cooler ( shown in the pictures), which is held in place by two bolts at the front of the engine. Can also be fitted to the rear, next to the turbo. The plate is best NOT to be fitted to the EGR valve itself as it has a flap type valve, and opens out in to the connecting pipe would stop its movement, which could put it into limp mode.

This plate will put the engine management light on, but will not go into limp mode. ( having a hole in it still would get the EML coming on, so no point). It is slotted to make it easier to fit.

Fits The M9R Engine from 2005 on depending on models. Will not fit the Euro6 (about mid 2017 on)

Renault Clio, Koleos, Laguna, Latitude, Safrane, Megane III, Scenic, Fluence, Trafic

Also fit's the Vauxhall Vivaro 2.0L that has the M9R engine fitted. Will not fit the later ones that have the Fiat 2.0L engine.

Benefits of blocking EGR:

1. Cleaner engine oil helping to give longer engine life. )

2. Turbo spooling up quicker, and at lower revs )

3. Prevents soot build up in intake manifold, and valve's, which will lower the power

4. A smother drive, and usually better fuel economy

5. Less black smoke, so will help it pass the MOT

6. The DPF/FAP stays cleaner for longer, so less re-generation's
