This cam engages the ratchet side one step at a time. When you pull the lever, there is little resistance and you can pull it easily. Since there is resistance in the returning direction, the lever can be stopped and the transmission can be positioned. (Caution) Make sure that the oval-shaped protrusion on the back side of the black resin washer fits securely into the oval hole in the shifter before tightening the crown screw. If you tighten the resin washer while it is floating, the protrusion will be damaged and the shifter will not be fixed. Cannot be used with SRAM products.
