Product Description: Supplement HCl Source Digestive Function Enhancement In the stomach, HCl converts pepsinogen into pepsin, an enzyme that breaks down proteins. Pepsin breaks down proteins into smaller pieces, making them easier to absorb. As we age, our HCl production decreases, which can lead to lower pepsin levels. When pepsin levels are not maintained properly, the body has difficulty digesting food as easily. Betaine hydrochloride is used as a source of HCl to replenish the stomach’s ability to produce pepsin. Betaine hydrochloride and pepsin provide excellent stomach tonic effects.

Product Directions: Take 1 tablet up to 4 times daily with meals. Do not take on an empty stomach.
