Thorne's Basic Prenatal provides active folic acid (5-MTHF) and vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin) that can be readily utilized by the body's tissues. Basic Prenatal also contains highly absorbable iron bisglycinate, which helps to meet the iron requirements of pregnant women while also being easy on the stomach and not causing constipation. Several of the Basic Prenatal ingredients (vitamin C, vitamin B6, and vitamin K) have been shown to help with "morning sickness." Basic Prenatal is made with the purest ingredients possible and contains no additives or coatings found in typical prenatal supplements.
