It is a versatile whetstone that can be used with any type of knife, but since it contains natural whetstones, it is particularly well suited to Kasumi Japanese knives, and produces a beautiful finish similar to the blurring that occurs when sharpening with a natural composite whetstone. For rough whetstones, we recommend PA Medium Coarse Stone #220, and for medium stones, the Kirameki Series #1000.1500. It comes with a stand, so it can be used stably. Note: Just pour water on it and you can use it right away. The abrasives and binder are still active because it is hardened at low temperature. Therefore, if you leave it for a long time (several years to a dozen years) or leave it in water, it will be damaged. Also, if you leave the knife while sharpening, it may rust, so please rinse it with water and wipe it off after sharpening. Always keep the surface that the blade touches horizontal. If you need to repair a worn surface, you can use a horizontal grindstone to fix it.
