The Yukikaze participated in the Southern Operation at the start of the war. It subsequently fought in various fierce battles, including the evacuation of Guadalcanal and the Battle of Leyte Gulf, and witnessed the final moments of the battleship Yamato. This kit recreates the Yukikaze as it appeared at the end of the war, with additional machine guns added for anti-aircraft combat.
Various outfitting parts have been updated, focusing on armament such as twin 12.7cm cannons and 25mm machine guns.
