After the war, the U.S. Air Force was renamed the F-51D upon its separation from the Army Air Corps, and it remained on the front lines. This plastic assembly kit recreates the F-51D in its Korean War configuration. The aircraft's aerodynamic design, including its sleek nose and under-fuselage radiator, has been faithfully recreated. The F-51D's mission in the Korean War was ground attack. The kit includes two 500-pound bombs, six 5-inch HVAR rockets, and two 75-gallon drop tanks used as napalm bombs, showcasing its heroic combat prowess.
