Product Description
The beautiful aircraft's shape, including the elliptical wing and flowing fuselage lines, is perfectly reproduced. The floorless cockpit is made up of many separate parts, with the control levers, bulkhead, oxygen tanks, and more reproduced in detail.
The horizontal stabilizer is assembled as a single unit and inserted from the rear to ensure accurate tail alignment.
The front canopy is available with either the early model standard windshield or one with bulletproof glass.
Two types of rearview mirrors are available: a large box-type and a small T-type.
Various different parts for the gunsight, antenna mast, and pitot tube equipped on the Mk.1 are available.
The fuselage is largely divided and dedicated parts for opening and closing are provided, allowing for ideal assembly of the canopy in both open and closed positions.
Three types of decals are included to recreate the Spitfire's essential markings: those that participated in the Battle of Britain, Operation Dynamo (supporting the Dunkirk evacuation), and early pre-World War II markings.
Seat belts, radiator, oil cooler, and rear sight are reproduced with etched parts.
The emergency escape panel (knockout panel) on the left side of the sliding canopy is recreated with a pre-cut adhesive sticker.
The reinforcement panel on the side of the fuel tank panel found on early Mk.1 aircraft is recreated with a molding sticker.
Canopy masking stickers are included.
Includes color painting diagrams and an explanation of the actual aircraft.
