Product Introduction

This model recreates the Maultier field ambulance type, a half-track used by the German army to transport supplies during World War II. During World War II, the German army deployed a large number of half-track vehicles, with tires on the front wheels and tracks at the rear, similar to tanks. Among these, simplified half-tracks, utilizing truck chassis and modified rear tracks, were collectively known as Maultiers and produced by Opel and Ford Deutschland. Production began in 1942 and they were deployed primarily on the Eastern Front, where conditions were often extremely muddy, and their excellent off-road capabilities made them useful for transporting wounded soldiers. This model features a cabin for storing stretchers in the loading compartment, recreating the field ambulance type used to transport wounded soldiers. While some modelers may have considered modifying the already-released, highly acclaimed Sd.Kfz.3 Maultier truck, this kit makes it easy for anyone to build a field ambulance type. The rear body of the vehicle is of course newly designed. Not only the exterior but also the interior details are reproduced in great detail. Two types of window blinds are available. Enjoy the unique finish. The chassis is meticulously modeled down to the finest details, including the engine and suspension, allowing you to learn about its structure as you assemble it. The idler wheel is included as an optional part using a new mold.
