The APO-LANTHAR 50mm F3.5 is an extremely high-performance manual-focus standard lens optimized for full-frame M-mount sensors. Its apochromatic design thoroughly eliminates axial chromatic aberration and other aberrations, while also pursuing ultimate performance in terms of resolution and contrast reproduction. While adopting the F3.5 maximum aperture used in traditional standard lenses for rangefinder cameras, the lens boasts a luxurious lens construction of eight elements in six groups, with four of those elements made with anomalous partial dispersion glass, achieving uncompromising optical performance. The APO-LANTHAR 50mm F3.5 is one of the ideal lenses, aiming to achieve both ultimate optical performance and compactness. In addition, the exterior design employs a slim and stylish style reminiscent of the lenses for rangefinder cameras that appeared in the mid-20th century. The Type I's minimum focusing distance is 0.45m, achieved by using a linear helicoid that can extend further than the 0.7m rangefinder-linked distance. The rangefinder-linked range branch point is equipped with a mechanism that allows you to recognize it with a click during focusing. The filter diameter is φ34mm, giving it a retro feel. The exterior of the main body is a two-tone black paint and chrome model made of brass, giving it a heavy feel. It comes with a metal hood and metal slip-on cap in the same black painted finish as the main body.
