The ever-expanding Platz/Italeri series is now adding the second installment: the F-14A Tomcat. This kit is also a 1/48 scale reproduction of the F-14A. This impressive model measures 39cm in length after completion. It comes with a Japanese instruction manual from Platz, and the decals are high-quality silkscreen printed by Cartograf. Additionally, a masking sheet is included for convenient painting of the canopy frame. Italeri's easy-to-assemble kits are now even more enjoyable. This second installment of the F-14A recreates the markings of the aircraft used by the "Top Gun" squadron, which served as a hypothetical enemy aircraft in air combat training.
