The Nissan Crew was in operation at many police stations from the late 1990s to the 2000s. It was Nissan's first patrol car equipped with a lift, and was deployed nationwide at government expense. This model depicts the vehicle with the lift raised on a Kanagawa Prefectural Police patrol vehicle. It is said that the lift was installed to prevent patrol lights from being obscured when the trunk is open during police operations, making it difficult for vehicles behind to see the patrol car. Traffic patrol cars are not equipped with this feature due to the increased air resistance it creates. When this vehicle was in operation, Kanagawa Prefectural Police vehicles did not yet have the word POLICE or markings. As of 2016, only traffic patrol cars in the Kanagawa Prefectural Police use this design.

Note: The lift is fixed in the up position and cannot be moved.
