If the water temperature is too low, the clearances of various parts of the engine will be outside the appropriate range, which will increase friction and prevent the engine from performing as expected. Also, if the water temperature is too high, it can cause overheating, leading to the engine going into failsafe mode, distortion of the cylinder or cylinder head, or engine blowout. The thermostat keeps the water temperature at an appropriate level, but the normal model is designed primarily for street use, so the set temperature is high. Therefore, when driving in a sporty manner, the water temperature tends to rise, which increases the risk of power loss and overheating. We lowered the thermostat opening temperature from the normal 78°C to 68°C, and the full opening temperature from 90°C to 81°C, sending engine coolant to the radiator earlier, slowing down the rate of temperature rise and allowing you to enjoy stable, sporty driving for long periods of time.
