The "FRONT MISSION" story unfolds based on a realistic worldview. This first PS2 release in the series is set in the year 2096, six years after the events of "FRONT MISSION 1st" and "FRONT MISSION 2."

The protagonists are Elsa, an elite female Wanzer pilot, and Daryl, a former top officer. The events they experience in different locations eventually lead to a single event.

The story also involves characters from the PS version of "1st." It explores the untold story arc following the Second Huffman Conflict.

Thanks to the PlayStation 2's specs, Wanzer movements are rendered more beautifully and smoothly. The depiction of battle scenes, including backgrounds, is meticulous, with every missing unit depicted, creating a cinematic impact.

Also noteworthy is the more intense combat system, which now allows multiple units to participate in battles, rather than the previous one-on-one format. (Eguchi Kenshin)
