Introducing the Suzuki Jimny JB23, a completely new molded 1/24 scale snap-fit car model!
This product is a kit that requires assembly. It's 1/24 scale.
No painting required: Each part is molded in its own color, giving the body a glossy finish not achievable with paint.
No gluing required: The parts snap together for easy assembly.
The JB23 is the third-generation Jimny, an off-road four-wheel drive vehicle that was sold for 20 years, from the introduction of the first model in 1998 through the 10th model.
While the previously boxy, linear styling was replaced with a more rounded shape, the JB23 retained its predecessor's mechanical features, such as a ladder frame and rigid axle suspension, providing excellent off-road performance and improved on-road maneuverability.
This product is modeled after the 10th model, the final facelift model.
This product is based on the Land Venture, a special edition model of the JB23 series 10th generation, which was released in 2014.
This later model features a thicker hood and is equipped with LV-specific side garnishes and rear tire covers.
The 1/24 scale size allows for accurate reproduction of the detailed design.
The body is molded using a special molding material to achieve a level of gloss that is difficult to achieve with paint.
Molded colors are available in eight colors: green, black, silver, gloss silver, clear smoke, clear, clear red, and clear orange.
Even with straight assembly, the colored parts create a painted appearance, and the part division significantly reduces masking work when painting.
The body is box-shaped and crafted using a slide mold, recreating the slightly rounded side shape.
The front, rear, and roof are laminated and fitted into the body parts, a standard feature of the NEXT series.
The thicker hood and front sides of the 9th and 10th generation models are available as separate parts.
The hood intake recreates the depth with a separate part.
The front grille has a two-layer structure that recreates the depth, and the radiator that fits behind it has also been recreated.
The undercarriage features a ladder frame that is a separate part, to which additional parts can be attached.
The leading and trailing arms, front and rear differential gear cases, and drive shafts are recreated as separate parts.
The headlight lenses are intricately sculpted to match the sculpting on the actual vehicle.
The headlight units also feature intricate sculpting of the main and small light bulbs, adding a three-dimensional effect to the depth of the lenses.
The driver's and passenger's windows feature glass and frame that are separate pieces, eliminating the need for stickers or masking during painting.
The adhesive areas (black parts) of the side and rear windows are recreated on the body, and the glass is inserted to achieve a realistic finish.
The rear window defogger is recreated with intricate sculpting.
The lenses of the side turn signals and reversing lights are recreated using clear parts. The turn signals are fitted from the back.
The integrated brake/indicator lens is recreated using a non-adhesive clear orange part that fits into the brake lens.
The wiper blades are made from extremely fine molded parts that are highly realistic, with even the unevenness of the blade attachment area being sculpted.
The instrument panel is intricately sculpted to create a three-dimensional effect. The JB23's drive selection button switch has also been accurately recreated.
The side mirrors have a two-layer structure that allows for color-coding. The mirror surfaces are recreated using pre-cut wheel stickers.
The tires are molded from rubber resin using a special mold (new mold) and come with 175/80R16 size on-road tires.
The roof bar, which is optional on the actual vehicle, is available as a custom part. Adhesive type.
The included stickers recreate the detailed coloring and are pre-cut for easy application.
The stickers include the meter panel, logo, vehicle number, and more.
Dimensions upon completion are approximately 150mm long x 77mm wide x 72mm high.
