The Saab SK60A is a jet trainer aircraft developed by the Swedish company Saab.
In the 1950s, Saab developed the Saab 105, a versatile light jet aircraft that could also be used as a business jet.
In the 1960s, the Swedish Air Force, seeking a successor to the de Havilland Vampire, decided to adopt the Saab 105 as a jet trainer, also considering the development of the country's aviation industry.
Two prototype Saab 105s successfully flew for the first time in 1963, and 100 aircraft were manufactured as the SK60A.
The SK60B is a ground attack version of the SK60A equipped with an improved sight.
