It produces a well-balanced, warm, and deep sound across the entire range, with a responsive, solid sound that resonates far away. It has the advantage of being able to play widely spaced jumps with a uniform and rich tone. This reed was released earlier as a B♭ clarinet and has made many performers fans of it.
