Preparation Instructions: ■ If the old paint coat leaves powder on your fingers when you touch it, remove it with a leather scraper, wire brush, or sandpaper before painting. ■ When painting on walls with cigarette tar or other stains, thoroughly wipe away the stain or prime with Asahipen Tar & Rust-Repellent Sealer. ■ When painting on earthen, sanded, or fiber-reinforced walls, prime with Asahipen Wall Paint Primer or Asahipen Water-Based Sealer. ■ For smooth surfaces, roughen the surface with sandpaper before painting. ■ When painting directly to iron, thoroughly remove rust and prime with a rust-repellent paint. ■ When painting on concrete or mortar, be sure to prime with Asahipen High-Penetration Water-Based Sealer or Asahipen Oil-Based Sealer. When painting on new concrete or mortar, wait at least one month after application before painting. ■ If there is mold or algae, remove it with a mold remover before painting.
Precautions: ● Do not use for any purpose other than as indicated. ● Do not use if you are unwell or have allergies or are sensitive to chemicals. ● Handle with care to avoid contact with eyes or skin, and to avoid accidental ingestion. ● Leaving paint on skin may cause irritation. Always wear protective gloves. ● Ensure good ventilation during painting and drying, and continue to ventilate occasionally until the paint odor has disappeared. ● Work in clothing that will not be affected by paint. ● Avoid painting on days when it is likely to rain or is highly humid; paint on sunny days. ● Apply at a time when the temperature does not drop below 5°C during painting and while the paint is drying. ● When painting on dark or uneven surfaces, diluting the paint too thinly or applying it too thinly may not achieve the desired finish in one coat. ● Orange and yellow colors are easily affected by the base, so apply two coats if necessary. ● Some wallpaper, caulking, and sealants with special surface treatments may cause cratering, poor adhesion, or slow drying. Test the paint on an inconspicuous area to check color, drying time, and adhesion before applying. ● Applying to alkaline materials such as concrete, mortar, and plaster may temporarily produce a strong odor. ● If applying two coats, allow the first coat to dry thoroughly before applying the next coat. ● The coverage, drying time, and hue may vary slightly depending on the color, material, amount applied, base coat, application method, and weather conditions. ● The displayed color and gloss are printed and may differ slightly from the actual color and gloss. ● Dispose of the container only after using up the paint. ● If you must discard the paint, solidify it with Asahipen Water-Based/Oil-Based Paint Hardener, or spread it on newspaper and allow it to dry completely before disposing of it in the general trash. ● Be careful not to drop the container, as the contents may leak.
