Chusen-dyed tenugui are traditional Japanese crafts that have long been part of daily life as everyday items. The delicate expressions and gradations achievable only through entirely handcrafted work by artisans, along with the fabric's texture becoming softer with each wash, allow you to enjoy its aging process over time. This item is dyed using the traditional Japanese dyeing method called “Chusen.” The fabric softens and molds to your use over time, developing a unique patina and character. ※ Due to the nature of the dyeing process, color bleeding or transfer may occur. We recommend washing it separately in plenty of water before first use. ※ The edges are left raw. Any loose threads that appear initially should be trimmed. They will naturally settle after 2-3 washes.
