KATO N Gauge 475 Series Express Tateyama/Yunokuni 6-Car Basic Set 10-1634 Model Train

This fully revamped product recreates the train's heyday as an express train around 1975. Features include the covered typhoon on the lead car and the inclusion of SaHa 455 cars, characteristic of the 475 series that served the Hokuriku region. Features the round pedestal voltage detector antenna mounted on the roof of the lead car. Accurately recreates the body with passenger doors equipped with steps and the rooftop wiring unique to AC/DC electric trains. Moha 474-16 recreates the early model with three rows of louvers under the pantograph, while the other Moha 474s feature six rows on each side for air conditioning. Beautifully recreates the standard livery of JNR-era AC/DC express electric trains, with a red No. 13 (azuki bean color) body and cream No. 4 stripe. A slotless motor ensures smooth and quiet running. Snap-on bogies are used. Both the lead and intermediate cars are equipped with body-mounted close-coupling couplers (without hooks) for new-performance electric trains. Separate body supports can also be attached as desired. Leading cars No. 1, 9, and 12 have headlights/taillights and front display lights (with switch to turn them off). All leading cars except car No. 1 (KuHa 455-60) and car No. 12 (KuMoHa 475-16) come with front lights already installed. A front light can be installed on KuHa 455-60 as desired. The front display is printed with "Express". Selectable headmarks are included. Wide: "Tateyama" and "Yunokuni", Narrow: "Tateyama", "Yunokuni", "Kuzuryu". A replacement front display (plain) and destination display stickers featuring side destination signs and car signs are included.
