For my size 34.5, I knitted 36. It will fit a narrow foot better, it's a bit uncomfortable for me at the toes (but I think it will stretch). Since the width of my foot is above average, and my shoe size is small, I folded the "tongue" of the boots, otherwise it pressed/rubbed at the bend of the foot when walking.
