Kyo-yaki (Kiyomizu-yaki) is one of Kyoto's most representative traditional crafts. Originally, the term referred to pottery produced in the Kiyomizuzaka area leading to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. It features a traditional grape pattern painted expressively using the Ichin technique. Because it is handmade and hand-painted, individual pieces may vary slightly in shape, color, and pattern.
