The cute, deformed "Chibimaru Fuso" is back! The battleship Fuso was the first Fuso-class ship owned by the Imperial Japanese Navy, following the Kongo-class. It was completed in 1915. Its displacement and main guns were among the largest in the world at the time, and it underwent two refits before entering the Pacific War. Its distinctive design, including its unbalanced bridge, modern reconnaissance seaplanes, and radar, make it a striking sight. Toward the end of the war, in October 1944, it launched a nighttime invasion of the Surigao Strait as part of Operation Sho-Ichi-Go to defend the Philippines, and was sunk in an artillery battle with American surface forces. This series features adorable, palm-sized deformed figures of Imperial Japanese Navy vessels. The snap-fit design eliminates the need for adhesive, and the multicolor molding and realistic stickers eliminate the need for painting. This product is based on the Fuso battleship, which was the final battle of the Battle of Leyte Gulf. Its scaled-down, deformed form is condensed into its distinctive features. The molded parts are pre-painted in the colors of the battleship and hull. The design is divided into a hull and bottom, allowing for both offshore and full-hull construction. The distinctive features found on the actual ship are faithfully recreated in three dimensions. The hull is a one-piece structure, with both sides integrated using a slide mold, recreating the chunky shape characteristic of battleships. The anchor is a separate part to create a unique sense of shape, and the portholes, including the eaves, are realistically depicted. The stern aircraft deck features linoleum retaining brackets, which are sculpted. The late-wartime design, with a radar mounted at the top of the bridge, is accurately captured. The upper deck features a solid wooden deck, sculpted to create a deep wooden deck. The depth of the carving is suitable for shading when recreating painted designs. The wooden and linoleum decks are easily recreated using the included stickers, and the wood grain pattern is realistic, using multiple shades. The aircraft deck's rails and linoleum flooring are also three-dimensionally detailed. - The 36cm main gun, 15cm secondary gun, and 12.7cm anti-aircraft gun are molded using slide molding to open the muzzles and create realistic barrels. - Separate parts are made for the main gun depending on whether it is equipped with a rangefinder or additional machine guns. - The main gun's traverse angle can be adjusted. - The bridge is stacked, accurately expressing the ship's unbalanced exterior shape. - The bridge is designed with inserting supports, just like the real ship, and is densely equipped with anti-aircraft guns and other equipment. - Includes deformed aircraft, just like the ship. - The aircraft includes the Type 95 floatplane, and markings such as the Japanese flag are recreated with included stickers. - One aircraft is molded in dark green and included. *This product is made in Japan. *This product is a plastic model kit that requires assembly.
