This sweet tea incense is made with carefully selected sweet tea, which is poured over the Buddha statue on April 8th to celebrate the birth of Buddha.
Incense as an offering, rather than as a luxury item, is usually presented to the Buddha in a beautiful state, with a favorite food offered before the offering, and the remaining incense is then received.
For occasions such as Obon, when ancestors who have become Buddhas return from their original selves, beautifully dressed (performing a popular kagura-style dance of hospitality) and presented as a feast to the Buddha during Obon, it is said that the Buddha's wish will be granted if the deceased and their family receive the Buddha's blessing and bring peace to the world.
The famous and beloved sweet tea incense is said to grant the Buddha's wish for a feast, as it opens the eyes of attentiveness, consideration, and concern, building a mountain of moral tradition, maintaining order by respecting superiors, leading to self-forgetfulness and altruism, and providing merit for surviving descendants to pass on good deeds to their ancestors. In treating our ancestors, who will return as Buddhas, we extend our measure of compassion and offer the Buddha's favorite sweet tea incense at the Obon festival, welcoming guests with dignity and sincerity in this grand gesture of hospitality.

How to Use
Make a vow to do your best today. Use as a purification incense at the entrance. Burn incense according to your physical condition and provide appropriate medication. A treat for loved ones during the first Bon festival of the year. Offer as a Buddhist feast. Offer as a memorial to the Buddha.
