Product Introduction
This new model is the premium "MANASLU" model from Pro Trek, a premium outdoor gear brand. Its name comes from the 8,163m-high "Manaslu," also known as the "Mountain of Spirits," and is named after the 8,163m-high mountain Manaslu, also known as the "Mountain of Spirits," which was first successfully climbed by a Japanese team in 1956. This model features a DLC hardening treatment on the bezel, band, crown, buttons, and case back, improving wear resistance. Titanium is used for the main metal components (outer bezel, band, and case back) for both strength and lightness. The base model, the PRX-8000, was developed with extensive advice from PRO TREK ambassador Hirotake Takeuchi, the only Japanese person to have climbed all 14 of the world's tallest 8,000-meter peaks. Because time and measurement data are of utmost importance in the harsh conditions of summiting an 8,000-meter peak, the watch features a black dial with large, easy-to-read white indices and hands. Other markings are deliberately placed and color-coded to make the time and measurement data on the LCD screen easy to read. To facilitate easy time reading even in hypoxic conditions or poor weather, the 12 o'clock index features a distinctive shape, and an arrow is engraved at the base of the band. The hour and minute hands, enlarged and shaped with carbon fiber, and the double luminous indexes make it easy to read the time at night, supporting activities under extreme conditions. The band features a double-lock, one-push, three-fold clasp with an adjustable mechanism that allows for easy adjustment of the band length by up to approximately 6mm without the need for special tools, allowing it to be worn over inner gloves. The joint mechanism connecting the band to the case has also been expanded for easier attachment and removal. The crystal is made of scratch-resistant, highly visible sapphire crystal, enhancing functionality and a sense of quality. Furthermore, the watch is equipped with Triple Sensor Ver. 3*, which dramatically improves measurement accuracy and intervals, as well as numerous practical features such as Multiband 6, which receives radio waves from six stations worldwide, Tough Solar, and a Barometric Pressure Trend Information Alarm that alerts you to notable changes such as a sudden drop or rise in barometric pressure. This model, bearing the MANASLU name, combines high functionality with beauty and quality. *Triple Sensor Ver.3 features a newly developed, compact magnetic sensor that's 95% smaller than the previous model, and a pressure sensor with improved measurement accuracy. Combining this new sensor with a Casio-original sensor IC with improved processing power dramatically improves the functionality of the Triple Sensor.
●Tough Solar (solar charging system)
●10 ATM water resistance
●Radio wave reception compatible with six stations worldwide: Automatic reception (up to six times per day) (up to five times per day for China radio waves) or manual reception. *When the Home Time setting is set to a city that can receive radio waves, the watch will receive the station corresponding to that city. The time difference will be set based on the selected city.
●Automatic Hand Position Correction
●World Time: 29 cities (29 time zones, daylight saving time setting) + UTC (Coordinated Universal Time), UTC Direct Call, Home City Swap
●Compass Measurement: Measures 16 compass and compass angles (0-359°), Continuous compass measurement (60 seconds), North Pointer, Magnetic Declination Correction, Compass Correction (2-point correction)
●Barometric Pressure Measurement (Measurement Range: 260-1,100 hPa, 1 hPa increments), Barometric Pressure Trend Graph (Displays the past 20 hours), Barometric Pressure Difference Indicator (±10 hPa), Barometric Pressure Trend Alarm (Warns you with an arrow and audible alarm when significant barometric pressure changes occur)
●Altitude Measurement/Relative Altimeter (Measurement Range: -700-10,000 m, 1 meter increments), Altitude Memory (Manual memory for up to 30 records of measurement date, time, and altitude), Automatic Recording Data (Maximum / Minimum altitude, auto-accumulation (ascent/descent) memory, altitude trend graph, altitude difference indicator (±100m/±1000m), measurement interval setting function (every 5 seconds/2 minutes) *Every 1 second for the first 3 minutes only
● Temperature measurement function (measurement range: -10 ~ (60°C, 0.1°C increments)
● Stopwatch (1/100-second, 24-hour counter, split)
● Timer (1-minute increments, maximum 60 minutes, 1-second increments)
● 5 time alarms and hourly time signal
● Hand retraction function (manual, automatic (when measuring altitude, barometric pressure, or temperature))
● Battery indicator
● Power saving function (conserves power by turning off the display and suspending the hands after a certain period of time in the dark)
● Fully automatic calendar
● 12/24-hour display switching
● Low-temperature resistant (-10°C)
● Operation sound ON/OFF switching function
● Fully automatic double LED light, fully automatic LED light for the dial (with afterglow and selectable afterglow time (1.5 seconds or 3 seconds)), fully automatic LED backlight for the LCD (with afterglow and selectable afterglow time (1.5 seconds or 3 seconds))
● Operating time from full charge without solar power Approximately 6 months with all functions active, approximately 25 months with power saving mode
*When radio wave reception is not available, the watch operates with standard quartz accuracy (average monthly deviation of ±15 seconds).
*The altimeter is a relative altimeter that converts barometric pressure changes into altitude. Changes in barometric pressure due to natural phenomena will also affect the measured altitude. Brand Overview
