With a BOOST spool, you may hear an audible "click" from the inductor rotor when casting (flying the lure). The inductor rotor, which controls braking force, returns faster and stronger than previous models with BOOST, while also extending its operating stroke to maximize long-distance casting. The inductor rotor's return noise may be louder than with conventional reels, but this is not abnormal. The BOOST reel's two-stage operation generates up to two sounds, and the volume and frequency of the sounds vary depending on the casting input. *The amount of thread wound is a guideline and varies depending on the manufacturer, item, and tension.
