AQUA, a tile drafting and placement game in which players grow coral reefs and expand the habitat of diverse organisms, is now available in multiple languages, including Japanese.
In AQUA, players grow their own coral reefs and create hexagonal "habitats" made up of corals of the same color.
In these habitats, players can place small animals suitable for the habitat to create an ecosystem.
Corals form a "reef" in groups of four or more, and adjacent small animals can earn points.
By placing larger animals that prey on these small animals in layers according to conditions, players can grow a biodiverse coral reef.
The player with the most points at the end of 17 rounds is declared the winner.
However, because there are many different scoring conditions, despite the simple system, players will need to cultivate a coral reef that takes nature and diversity into consideration in order to win.
This game also offers a wide variety of play options, including a family game with simplified requirements, an advanced game with more challenging tile requirements, solo play, and various achievement challenges.
