Never wipe it with a wet cloth, as this will accelerate the seepage of tannins. Wipe it dry with a dry cloth. Care instructions are included. Regarding the raw materials used for the shogi board: Traditionally, agathis wood, a South Seas wood similar to katsura wood, was used, but export restrictions on this wood have made it difficult to source. This product uses a wood similar to katsura wood other than agathis.
