Recycled glass shaped over gamal wood
It is crafted by hand in Indonesia from recycled glass and gamal wood, also known as Gliricidia sepium. The molten glass is formed to sit with the wooden base, so each piece follows the character of its own timber rather than a perfectly identical mould.
How to style it at home
Place it where the glass can catch daylight: on a console, bedside table, windowsill or quiet shelf. It suits organic-modern, coastal and natural interiors, especially beside house plants, ceramics, linen and pale wood.
A small air plant, a few polished stones, dried botanicals or a simple empty bowl can all give it presence without crowding the shape.
Keeping the glass and wood looking good
Wipe the glass gently with a soft cloth and keep the wooden base away from prolonged damp. If styling with plants or botanicals, avoid letting water sit against the wood.
