[Film Highlights]
■Second Prize Winner of the 2nd TSUTAYA CREATORS' PROGRAM FILM
Directed by rising star Paul Young, with an American father and a Japanese mother. This is his feature film debut, having won the second prize for his project "Ghost Master."
The screenplay for this film was written by Ichiro Kusunoki (Tokyo Ghoul), a veteran of genre films, while Tomo Hyakutake (Museum and Sadako vs. Kayako) is in charge of the special effects, essential for depicting horror.
■ Incredible performances by unique actors!
The protagonist, Akira Kurosawa, is played by Takahiro Miura, a talented actor who has already shed his youthful looks.
Riko Narumi, who has demonstrated an outstanding presence since her days as a child actress, plays Mana Watarase, the actress Kurosawa admires.
The film crew surrounding the two leads includes a cast of unique characters such as Yota Kawase, Yoshiyuki Morishita, Tooru Tezuka, Shinichi Shinohara, and Akagi Maro, as well as fresh, talented young actors such as Mizuki Itagaki, Mariya Nagao, Sachi Shibamoto, and Motohisa Harashima.
Don't miss their incredible performances as they transform into creatures one after another.
■The Ultimate Movie Love!
Horror is a genre that film lovers cannot avoid.
Horror has given rise to some of the greatest directors in film history, and its low budgets have made it a testing ground for ambition and curiosity, while the resentment of those who didn't make it adds depth to the genre.
Fueled by this passion for horror, a chaotic, bizarre work was born that swallows up every other film.
Synopsis
On the set of a "kabedon" movie, the production was based on the simple idea and low aspirations that a low-budget production would be profitable because it was popular.
However, the lead actor began to worry about the "kabedon," and filming came to a halt.
On a grueling set where 24-hour operation is the norm, rookie assistant director Kurosawa Akira is forced to resolve the situation.
He may be a "master" and a "first-rate" director in name only, but his inability to say no has led him to content himself with being a handyman, a timid film nerd with a love of B-grade horror.
When Kurosawa's dream of one day becoming a director, his only source of comfort, is cruelly shattered, his pent-up frustration summons an evil spirit, which possesses "Ghost Master," the script he had been working on for his directorial debut. Can Kurosawa and his crew stop the "Ghost Master" from turning the filming location into a hellish hell?
