The fourth installment of the Sengoku Sumi-e Collection is "Warring States Heroes." Japan's Sengoku period (Warring States period) is arguably the most heroic period in history. Some suppressed unrest and increased their power, while others rose to power by acquiring military might that surpassed that of their masters. This is what's known as "gekokujo" (overthrowing superiority). Renowned generals and warlords engaged in fierce battles with central powers like Oda Nobunaga, Hashiba Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu, creating a dramatic story. This world-class tool, featuring a powerful sumi-e (ink painting) of a scene from this dramatic story, allows you to put a touch of Sengoku spirit in your pocket.
[Series 4] Model in a special paulownia wood box
[Takeda Shingen] Known as the "Tiger of Kai," Takeda Shingen was a master of strategy and tactics, upholding the principles of Sun Tzu. He also demonstrated political power through gold mine development and flood control, and despite his base in the mountainous Kai region, he never let enemies get close throughout his life. He competed with Kenshin and Ujiyasu for supremacy in the Kanto region, and his name even intimidated Oda Nobunaga. He defeated Tokugawa Ieyasu at Mikatagahara, but died of illness in the battlefield. His death was kept secret for three years. This sword is designed to represent the spirit of Shingen, determined to win.
