Not only does it accurately reproduce the different front light shape from the E3 Series-1000 series, but it also accurately reproduces the window arrangement of cars 16 and 17, the larger side displays, and the differences in underfloor covering. Beautifully recreates the car body, decorated with colors inspired by Yamagata Prefecture's prefectural bird, the mandarin duck, and its prefectural flower, the safflower. Four symbolic marks representing Yamagata's four seasons, painted on the sides of cars 11 and 16, are reproduced. The red pantograph is faithful to the actual train. The leading car, E311 (car 11) toward Tokyo, is equipped with a leading car coupling mechanism. Head and tail lights light up. Car 11 (E311-2010) has a light-off switch. The intermediate coupling section uses a diaphragm coupler. A slotless motor ensures smooth and quiet running. Wheels feature disc brakes on the side, a feature characteristic of Shinkansen trains. Destination displays on the side are printed in solid black. Destination display stickers are included.
