This version is made using the original circuitry used when Centura was first developed. Comparing the tone of the Early Ver. and the regular version, the Early Ver. has a slightly thicker mid-tone, while the regular version has a flatter tone. The Ceriatone Centura Early Ver. is a version that retains the original circuitry from when the Centura was first developed. As is well known, the tone of overdrive pedals varies depending on the time of production and the individual pedal. When the Centura was first developed, the circuit was designed to closely resemble the tone of the original model owned by Ceriatone. The standard model has since been adjusted to bring the tone even closer to the original, earliest model. Comparing the tone of the Early Ver. and the regular version, the Early Ver. has a slightly thicker mid-tone, while the regular version has a flatter tone. The Ceriatone Centura is a true overdrive pedal that will further expand the possibilities of your tone and amplifier. It is especially compatible with tube amplifiers, set to the perfect range where distortion is just barely added to the tone. The Centura produces the ultimate tone in every range, from clean boost to full gain settings. Set all the knobs freely to find your own tone. There is no wrong setting. ●Control ・GAIN: Adjusts the strength of the distortion. The minimum setting produces a clean tone. TREBLE: Adjusts the tone, focusing on the high frequencies. It becomes flat at around 11:30. ・OUTPUT: Adjusts the volume. The circuit is at unity gain at around 11:30, but the actual volume will vary depending on the GAIN and TREBLE settings. ●Differences from the "classic" unit The Ceriatone Centura produces a tone that is almost identical to the classic unit, but it can be made to the same level by setting the Output slightly higher than the classic unit. This difference is due to the pot taper. As you approach full up, the difference becomes smaller. Feel free to adjust the knob settings to find the best sound. There are an infinite number of combinations for different guitars and amps, and therefore an infinite number of optimal settings. ●Power supply The Centura is powered by a 9V DC adapter with a 3.5mm mini plug, the tip of the plug being positive. ●Battery Centura can also be powered by a standard 9V battery. To use a battery, use a flathead screwdriver to remove the screw on the bottom and insert the battery into the internal battery snap. If you notice that the tone is different from the usual settings, replace the batteries with new ones. Also, if you will not be using the instrument for an extended period of time, remove the batteries before storing it. Every Centura is hand-assembled.
