By chance, Dragon Tohru ends up working as a maid at the Kobayashi household.

While occasionally (actually, a lot) causing trouble for her beloved Kobayashi, she somehow manages to blend into human society and perform her maid duties admirably (actually, moderately) well.

Kanna, Lucoa, Fafnir, and Elma, all dragons, had each found their place in the world and were enjoying interspecies communication with humans. It was during these peaceful, and occasionally turbulent, days that a new dragon threat struck Kobayashi-san.
