This fan is activated by the pressure difference between the indoor and outdoor air pressures when the range fan is operating. Simply push the front panel to switch between closed, save, and fully open modes. It quickly supplies air when the range fan is operating and prevents unpleasant drafts when it's stopped. This sealed type eliminates the unpleasant wind noise caused by strong winds typical of high-rise buildings (when the front panel is closed). The front panel can be closed during strong winds. (Please be sure to open it when the range fan is operating.) For optimal performance, we recommend using the KS-V15FS, KS-V15AH, or KS-8620SHE outdoor ventilation vents. Insulated, sealed indoor ventilation vents with the same design are also available (KS-8841PRFK3, KS-8641PRFK3, KS-8841PR, KS-8641PR3). Note: This product is for wall mounting only. Ceiling installation is not possible. When you want to keep the shutter closed, such as during strong winds, simply push the front panel to prevent air from entering. When the range fan is operating, the shutter automatically opens and air is supplied depending on the pressure difference between the indoors and outdoors. This allows for a large volume of air to be supplied when using an airtight home or a large range hood. Use the sleeve ring KS-150PSR to extend the pipe. Attach the sleeve ring to the outer circumference of the end of the indoor vent's barrel. This is a "long type" with a barrel length of 75 mm, so please be careful when using a sleeve adapter to extend the pipe. Since the front panel of the indoor vent is detachable at the top and bottom, it must be placed farther away from the ceiling than necessary. Also, to prevent wall stains, install it as far away from the wall or ceiling as possible. Since drawing large amounts of air into the room can cause noise and potential flooding, we recommend the NASTA KS-V15FS, KS-V15AH, and KS-8620SHE for outdoor vents.
