■Product Description

・D'Addario is releasing the NYXL series, a new electric guitar string made with new materials. These next-generation strings are 30% stronger than previous models, offering significant improvements in pitch stability and durability.

These strings feature a new high-carbon steel alloy, a revised wire-drawing process, and an improved corrosion-resistant tin-plated coating.

Permeability has increased by 6%, resulting in increased output in the 2-5kHz range and a punchier, more crunchy sound.

・Only two generations of electric guitar strings have been released to date.

D'Addario's original pure nickel strings, created in the 1950s with an original blend, were characterized by a mellow sound.

Then, in the early 1960s, D'Addario released the second generation of nickel-plated steel strings with a brighter sound. For over 50 years since, strings made based on the material composition developed at that time have become the global industry standard (approximately 80% of electric guitar strings on the market) and have been used by countless players. Around 2012, D'Addario began developing new electric guitar strings, resulting in the third-generation NYXL series.
