Most of the main gray color is recreated with paint. In addition to the wide range of motion that is unique to ROBOT Spirit, some of the joints are made of die-cast parts. The IB-07: SOL 644 / Ayre has been recreated in three dimensions, with careful attention paid to the design, coloring, and range of motion.
