About the Artist

Maria Esther Guzmán (Guitar) Maria Esther was born in Seville and made her debut at the age of 4 at the Lope de Vega Theatre in the same city. At the age of 11, he won a music competition organized by the Spanish national broadcasting station, and at the age of 12, his playing was praised and he received advice from the great maestro Andrés Segovia. He has won six national competitions in Spain and thirteen international guitar competitions. He has performed in major halls in Europe, Asia, and America, and has collaborated with renowned orchestras in various locations.

In 1994, he received the Andalusian Youth Music Award, and a special music award from the music magazine "Rhythm" for his CD of Julián Arcas. In 1998, he was honored by the Seville Music Association for 25 years of his musical career (silver wedding anniversary). In 2002, he was appointed a member of the Royal Academy of Santa Isabel de Junglia in Seville.

More recently, he received the Arts and Culture Merit Award from the Valencia Music Hall, and at the end of 2012, he was awarded the Andrés Segovia Award medal by the Andrés Segovia Foundation in Linares.
